My college roommate Robin and I were on vacation. She bought the tickets for Lion King and Mamma Mia. I had no idea was Mamma Mia was - I thought it was about an Italian mamma or something. We were sitting in our hotel room and I was looking at tourists brochures and came across the ad for Mamma Mia. Robin, this is Abba. What?! We paid $$$ for a show by Abba? Turns out, we loved it. I've never gone back, but I loved it. After I moved to NYC in 2002, I just happened to live in the same building as Louise Pitre, who played Donna. I would ride on the elevator with her and be amazed that I had seen her in a Broadway show.
